The Rock & Roll Librarian

About Me

Sex, drugs and Rock & Roll?  Not completely for me.

My name is Tyler Rousseau.  I'm a Young Adult Librarian.  The profession is great, there is no edgier writing than the Young Adult genre.  I get to mask my addiction for graphic novels behind my professional requirement to read them.  I listen to all the latest music so that I can order it for my patrons and it keeps me keen to an ever-changing scene.  I'm supposed to program Creative Writing Clubs, Music Maker Clubs, Tag Advisory Groups, Art Groups, as well as play games, surf the Internet, and read, read, read, all for the sake of my profession.  I'll say it again, it is a great job.

I am also a musician.  I've played some sort of instrument since I was in the fourth grade.  I am in my thirties now, so there have been a few.  For the past ten years, I've mainly concentrated on writing my own songs, there is no better prozac for the soul for me.  You can find some of my music on the music link of this site.  Also, the sound bytes before my podcasts are originals as well.

  4. Tyler is the best Tyler that I have ever stepped up to the microphone to say, “howdy, my friend!” and not worried too much about regretting it!!! This looks like something I should (wish I would) have been watching for longer than only twenty minutes or so…

I’ll be saying more, after I do some listening. Always better not to speak before we actually have something worth hearing, even if it turns out nobody wanted to hear it. Or words to that effect, if they have any.

    They do!! :-D
